About

Yale Fertility Center, with locations in Orange and Greenwich, Connecticut, is the reproductive medicine practice of Yale Medicine and Yale School of Medicine. The team of reproductive endocrinologists practices within Yale's academic medical environment and offers a broad range of treatment options for individuals and couples experiencing infertility. Services include in vitro fertilization (IVF), fertility preservation for cancer patients and others delaying pregnancy, evaluation and treatment of endometriosis, a dedicated program for recurrent pregnancy loss, and a Male Fertility Program. The center also operates a Third-Party Reproductive Program for patients using donor gametes or gestational carriers, and provides reproductive options for transgender individuals. Care is delivered within an academic department whose physicians are both clinicians and faculty at Yale School of Medicine.

Cost factors to verify

A quoted price rarely tells the whole story. Ask the clinic how each of these is handled before comparing prices:

  • Diagnosis and testing — workup before treatment starts
  • Medications — injectables and pharmacy costs
  • Monitoring — cycle bloodwork, ultrasounds, and visits
  • Lab and anesthesia — embryology lab work, retrieval, and outside lab fees
  • Embryo testing — genetic testing (PGT) when used
  • Donor services — donor eggs, sperm, or gestational carrier coordination
  • Insurance plan design — coverage, network rules, and benefit limits
  • Financing — payment plans, multi-cycle packages, and refund programs

Questions to ask this clinic

  • Which services happen at this location, and which require travel to another lab or partner site?
  • Which fees are included in the quoted cycle price, and which are billed separately?

Insurance

Financial coordinators work to clarify insurance coverage and costs before treatment. No specific list of accepted carriers provided online. Insurance acceptance is self-reported by the clinic and changes frequently. Fertility benefits also vary by individual employer plan, and self-funded plans may opt out of state mandates. Always verify coverage directly with the clinic and your insurer before starting treatment.
