Disclaimer

Please read these disclaimers carefully before using Explore Fertility.

Not Medical Advice

Nothing on this Site is medical advice.

Explore Fertility provides general informational content about fertility clinics and fertility treatment data. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a licensed healthcare provider.

Always seek the guidance of a qualified reproductive endocrinologist, OB-GYN, urologist, or other licensed medical professional with any questions you may have about fertility treatment options, diagnoses, medications, or procedures. Do not disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice because of something you read on this Site.

Fertility treatment involves complex medical decisions that depend on your individual health history, diagnosis, and circumstances. Clinic data, success rates, and service descriptions on this Site are general informational signals, not personalized medical guidance.

Not a Provider Recommendation or Endorsement

A clinic’s presence in this directory does not constitute a recommendation, endorsement, certification, or warranty by Explore Fertility of that clinic’s services, quality, clinical outcomes, or patient experience. We are a directory. We organize and present publicly available information; we do not vet, certify, or vouch for any listed clinic.

The absence of a clinic from this directory does not imply that the clinic is inferior or problematic. Coverage gaps exist because of CDC/NASS reporting requirements, QA review status, and publication timing.

Verify Information Directly with the Clinic

Clinic information on Explore Fertility — including addresses, phone numbers, hours of operation, services offered, specialist names, pricing, and insurance participation — is sourced from public data and clinic-owned websites. This information can become outdated, inaccurate, or incomplete without notice.

Always verify all information directly with the clinic before making any appointment, financial, or treatment decision.

Not Legal or Insurance Advice

State fertility insurance mandate information on this Site is provided for general background purposes only. It is not legal advice and not insurance advice. Laws change, and the information we present may not reflect the most current legislative or regulatory status in any state. Do not rely on it as a determination of your legal rights or coverage entitlements.

If you have questions about insurance coverage for fertility treatment, contact your insurance carrier or plan administrator directly, or consult a licensed insurance professional. If you have questions about your legal rights, consult a licensed attorney.

ERISA and Self-Funded Employer Plans

ERISA preemption caveat

State fertility insurance mandates typically apply only to fully insured health plans. If your employer sponsors a self-funded (self-insured) health plan, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) generally preempts state insurance mandates, including state fertility coverage requirements.

This means that even if you live in a state with a fertility insurance mandate, that mandate may not apply to your employer’s health plan. The only way to know whether your specific plan covers fertility treatment is to contact your employer’s HR department or plan administrator and request a Summary Plan Description (SPD).

Pricing and Insurance Change Frequently

Fertility treatment pricing and insurance participation are subject to change at any time. Published prices may not reflect current rates, and insurance plans accepted by a clinic can change with new contract cycles, employer plan renewals, or insurer policy changes. Always confirm current pricing and insurance acceptance directly with the clinic and your insurance provider before beginning any treatment.

No Paid Placements or Affiliate Relationships

Explore Fertility currently has no paid placements and no affiliate relationships. Clinics do not pay to appear in this directory or to improve their ranking or visibility. We have no financial relationship with any fertility clinic, clinic network, pharmaceutical company, fertility medication program, or insurance carrier. If this changes in the future, this section will be updated before any such relationship begins.

Data Corrections

We maintain a corrections process for inaccurate or outdated information:

  • Submit corrections via the corrections form.
  • Include a verifiable source (for example, a URL to the clinic’s own website) to expedite manual review.
  • Corrections are reviewed by our team before any changes are made to published data. We do not accept unverified changes.
  • We will make a best-effort attempt to respond to submissions. We cannot guarantee a specific response time or that all submitted corrections will result in changes.
