About
Southern California Center for Reproductive Medicine (SCCRM) is a Newport Beach, California fertility practice founded in 1992 by Dr. Robert Anderson, who continues to lead the clinic alongside Dr. Don Royster. Both physicians are dual board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Clinical services include in vitro fertilization (IVF), intrauterine insemination (IUI), egg and embryo freezing, preimplantation genetic testing (PGT), and minimally invasive reproductive surgery, including tubal ligation reversal. The practice supports a range of family-building pathways, with dedicated programs for LGBTQIA+ patients, single parents, international patients, oncofertility and fertility preservation, egg and sperm donation, and gestational surrogacy. SCCRM is a member of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) and is a partner clinic within the US Fertility network. Patient services include flexible seven-day scheduling, fertility counseling, concierge support, and complimentary second-opinion consultations.

Cost factors to verify
A quoted price rarely tells the whole story. Ask the clinic how each of these is handled before comparing prices:
- Diagnosis and testing — workup before treatment starts
- Medications — injectables and pharmacy costs
- Monitoring — cycle bloodwork, ultrasounds, and visits
- Lab and anesthesia — embryology lab work, retrieval, and outside lab fees
- Embryo testing — genetic testing (PGT) when used
- Donor services — donor eggs, sperm, or gestational carrier coordination
- Insurance plan design — coverage, network rules, and benefit limits
- Financing — payment plans, multi-cycle packages, and refund programs
Questions to ask this clinic
- Which services happen at this location, and which require travel to another lab or partner site?
- Which fees are included in the quoted cycle price, and which are billed separately?
- How should patients verify insurance benefits before starting treatment?

Fertility benefits also vary by individual employer plan, and self-funded plans may opt out of state mandates. Always verify coverage directly with the clinic and your insurer before starting treatment.
